SEAGOVILLE OFFICER KENNY DICKERSON NAMED TEXAS CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OFFICER OF THE YEAR

San Marcos Texas – The Nominating Committee of the Texas Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association held its annual training convention and awards ceremony in late July of 2014 in San Marcos, Texas. In attendance were Police Officers and Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association Volunteers from across Texas.

A highlight of the program this year was the announcement that Seagoville’s very own Officer Kenny Dickerson was named the “Ray Ramon Texas Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association Officer of the Year.” This award is very special because it is named after a local Police Officer from Duncanville, Texas, who is credited with being one of the first in the State to bring about the concept of Citizen Police Academies.

Officers Dickerson’s nomination includes a host of accolades for his leadership and dedication to the Seagoville Citizen Police Academy Program, the Police Department and the community.
