Seagoville, Texas – On November 2, 2015, the Seagoville City Council appointed Seagoville Police Chief Patrick Stallings as the City’s new City Manager. Stallings held the Interim City Manager Position for approximately four and a half months. Stallings has 32 years plus experience working in municipal government. He holds a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from Dallas Baptist University, he is also a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy and the Bill Blackwood Leadership Command College. Stallings lead the Seagoville Police Department from April of 2008 until his appointment as City Manager. During that time, the Department gained “Recognized Status” from the Texas Police Chief’s Best Practices Program.
On November 16, 2015, the City of Seagoville swore in Captain Ray Calverley as the City’s new Police Chief. Chief Calverley has been with the Seagoville Police Department for over 20 years and holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, and is a Graduate of the Bill Blackwood Leadership Command College. Calverley has lead the Operations Division for over seven years and before that served as a Lieutenant, Sergeant and Officer. Calverley is looking forward to the opportunity to serve as the City’s top Law Enforcement Officer. Stallings said it was an easy decision to appoint Calverley to the position of Chief of Police. They have worked together for over seven years Stallings said, and he has every confidence that Chief Calverley will be an outstanding Police Chief and the person best suited to lead the Department.
