TERRELL, Texas (November 8, 2016) – STAR Transit will celebrate Rider Appreciation Week, November 14 – 18, 2016.
“To thank our riders we are hosting a week-long celebration with plenty of perks. The riders are the inspiration that keep us going and make us want to provide the best service we can. They are the reason we are doing so well after 37 years”, said Omega Hawkins, Executive Director.
To celebrate, STAR Transit is offering free rides on all modes of service for the entire week.
Kim Britton, Marketing Director said, “Not only are we providing free rides but the Prize Patrol is back. Riders in Kaufman County, Rockwall County, Seagoville, Balch Springs and Mesquite should be on the lookout for the Rider Appreciation Week Prize Patrol. They will be out and about all week surprising riders with free giveaways, including free rides, lanyards and Rider Appreciation Week T-shirts. You never know when they’ll board a STAR Transit bus armed with free stuff.”
As part of the week-long celebration, drivers will hand out STAR Transit Appreciates Me buttons. We encourage riders to post selfies on their social media pages using the hashtag, #STAppreciatesMe. STAR Transit will post pictures on the STAR Transit Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/startransit.
