To be eligible to serve, one must be a resident and a registered voter of the City of Seagoville; not in arrears in City taxes or other obligations owed to the City; convicted of a felony or Class A misdemeanor; or be an adverse party to pending litigation against the City. According to City Secretary Kandi Jackson, vacancies will be reviewed and filled for the following boards: Planning & Zoning Commission, Park & Recreation Advisory Board, Animal Shelter Advisory Committee and Keep Seagoville Beautiful Commission. The City Council will conduct a brief interview with each applicant. Appointments are anticipated to be made at a future City Council meeting.
