[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested After Attempting to Break Into Three Pharmacies

On Monday, May 10, 2010, Seagoville Police arrested Shawn Ashley Wood 33 of Crandall after he attempted to burglarize the Wal-Mart Pharmacy, the Brookshire’s Pharmacy and Gibson’s Pharmacy in Seagoville. The incidents all appear to be related according to information gathered by investigators.

Later that morning Brookshire’s employees found a wallet belonging to Wood. Wood walked up to Police Officers investigating the Gibson’s Pharmacy offense and wanted to report his wallet as lost or stolen. Evidence from the scene, along with other revealing information linked Wood to the offenses. Wood was arrested for outstanding warrants, and later charged with the Burglary of Gibson’s Pharmacy, and the Criminal Trespass of an adjoining office building. Wood was transferred from Seagoville to the Dallas County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
