SEAGOVILLE, TX- The City strives to keep the open areas and walking trails available for recreation and exercise in our parks during this declared pandemic. In order to accommodate this, we ask that everyone continue to practice social distancing within the parks.
Not only is social distancing deemed critical in slowing the spread of COVID-19, this practice is required under the Dallas County Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency issued by County Judge Clay Jenkins on 03/12/2020 and amended on 04/08/2020. The City adopted Ordinance 08-2020 to comply with and enforce this Declaration.
With the Easter weekend amongst us, the City also wants to remind park patrons that public gatherings in the parks are prohibited at this time.
As a reminder all playground equipment, picnic table pavilions, grills, gazebos and courts will remain closed until further notice.
To avoid closing of the parks, police and code enforcement officers will be monitoring the parks this upcoming weekend. Persons deemed in violation of the Declaration Order may be issued citations.
