[ARCHIVED] City of Seagoville Moves to Four Day Workweek Effective July 11, 2011

In an effort to respond to citizen requests for extended hours of service, the City of Seagoville will implement an eight week pilot program of a four day work week with extended hours.
The program will begin the week of July 11, 2011 and will conclude September 2, 2011. The City Administration receives numerous comments that City Hall service hours require them to take off work to conduct business at City Hall.

City Hall and the City Service Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday. City offices and the Service Center will be closed on Fridays.
To determine effectiveness, City Staff will track usage during the pilot program. Staff will also track concerns expressed over the lack of access on Fridays.

City Administration welcomes input from Citizens as the program is carried out.

The Senior Citizens Center, Library, Police and Fire Departments will not participate in the pilot program.
