1. Who do I call before I dig?

Call 800-DIG-TESS (800-344-8377). The Texas law says you must call before you dig; if you don't call for spots and damage an underground facility, you will be billed for the damages. The hidden hazards of pipelines in close proximity or under your property could be dangerous and deadly.

Please call at least two business days but not more than two weeks before you dig.

2. Who do I call for water and sewer line locations?

Please call the Public Works Office at 972-287-6823 for water and sewer main locations. We will spot the City water main and the sewer main at no charge.

We are not able to mark your lines on your property, just the mains in the alley.

3. Why doesn't the City fix the water and/or sewer line in my yard?

The City is responsible for the water line up to the meter; the customer is responsible from the backside of the meter to the home or business.
